Pomoc\u00ed fale\u0161n\u00e9 zpr\u00e1vy updateLocation \u00fato\u010dn\u00edk tvrd\u00ed, \u017ee ob\u011bti MS jsou p\u0159ipojeny k jeho MSC. V takov\u00e9m p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b budou SMS \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edka p\u0159eposl\u00e1ny do SMS centra \u00fato\u010dn\u00edka, aby byly doru\u010deny do MS.<\/p>\n

Krom\u011b zachycen\u00ed osobn\u00edch SMS c\u00edle lze tento \u00fatok pou\u017e\u00edt proti ov\u011b\u0159ovac\u00edm syst\u00e9m\u016fm, kter\u00e9 vyu\u017e\u00edvaj\u00ed ov\u011b\u0159en\u00ed pomoc\u00ed SMS (SMS token, ov\u011b\u0159en\u00ed na Facebooku atd.), a m\u016f\u017ee v\u00e9st ke kompromitaci identity c\u00edle.<\/p>\n

S\u00edt\u011b druh\u00e9 generace (2G) nenab\u00edzely koncept vz\u00e1jemn\u00e9ho ov\u011b\u0159ov\u00e1n\u00ed, kdy se s\u00ed\u0165 sama ov\u011b\u0159uje v\u016f\u010di \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edkovi. T\u00edm se \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edk stal zraniteln\u00fdm v\u016f\u010di \u00fatoku zn\u00e1m\u00e9mu jako 2G IMSI catcher. P\u0159i tomto \u00fatoku mohl \u00fato\u010dn\u00edk pomoc\u00ed podvodn\u00e9 r\u00e1diov\u00e9 bu\u0148ky ozn\u00e1mit stejnou s\u00ed\u0165 jako legitimn\u00ed s\u00ed\u0165 s vy\u0161\u0161\u00edm v\u00fdkonem ne\u017e norm\u00e1ln\u00ed s\u00ed\u0165.<\/p>\n

V s\u00edt\u00edch 3G takov\u00fd \u00fatok nebyl mo\u017en\u00fd, proto\u017ee s\u00ed\u0165 mus\u00ed p\u0159ed nav\u00e1z\u00e1n\u00edm hovoru zp\u011btn\u011b ov\u011b\u0159it \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edka.
